About Me

May 2024 -- I Just came Back after 21 month of low-budget backpacking around the world! Now want to give back to the Couchsurfing all the hospitality that I got on my journey :))
I live now with my parents in a super tiny village not too far from Berlin, but very isolated. Also the bike path Berlin-Kopenhagen is passing through here, bikepackers very welcome!! It's the perfect spot to stop by to have a break from fast travelling, to be in nature and having a more quiet/meditative time! We live right next to a tiny "river", so in summer it's nice for swimming!

Hey there 🌎
I’m Laura, 22-years old from Germany.
In august 2022 I quit the life that I lived till then and decided to travel the world.
My way of travelling is very low budget and adventurous: we hitchhike, hike, do Couchsurfing, volunteering and try to fill the wallet with artesanias.
We don’t like hopping from hostel to hostel so much, we prefer to really get to know the culture/people of a country.

Besides, I love game nights, talking about philosophical topics under the sky and I’m up for any outdoor activities.

Now

“Travelling is the university of life.”
“Viajar es la universidad de la vida.”

“Wealth doesn’t mean to be able to waste money, but to waste time.”

„No es rico el que tiene mucho, sino el que da mucho.”

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me - the way of travelling is more important than the destination. I want to hitch hike, use couchsurfing rather than hostels (or hotels), meet locals, have interesting conversations and get to know the different cultures.

Interests

I'm into a kind of slowness/sustainability-movement. I enjoy doing things apart from my smartphone and
Social Media - such as cooking, growing plants, embroiding, hiking, spending time with animals (attention: crazy cat lady) and so on. Generally I would say that being outside in the nature is the best way to load my batteries.
I love to read and to philosophize with my friends about how we can make a change and be a part of a world that is full of love, solidarity and that takes care of the environment.
