About Me

I love travelling around the world, meeting new people and getting to know their cultures. I also like learning and speaking new languages.
When I'm not traveling I do a lot of training. I do athletics, mostly running, and I used to dance Estonian folk dance. Last year I found a new hobby: diving. This opened a completely new world to me which I really enjoy. I try to do as many dives as possible to get to the new level of diving.

Here you can read about my travel journeys (in Estonian or German): https://laura-liismadagaskaril.weebly.com/

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that just visiting a city is not enough to get to know the culture. It's like just looking at someone's facebook profile and judging him by that. To really get to know how the people are living in a specific country you need to meet them, talk to them and spent time together with them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not really a music or movie person. I have no idea about any actresses, singer or other people from that business. I rather read books but I'm not really a fanatic. At the moment my favourite author is Hans Fallada.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been for 5 months in Madagascar to teach cute little Malagasy children. Most amazing time of my life living for such a long time in a completely different environment and getting to know the culture.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Estonian, German and a little bit Malagasy (as far as I remember...). I can share my experience living abroad for a long time/ living in an African country.
I would like to get to know your culture and your way of thinking.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell you about the Malagasy culture, cook with you Malagasy food, speak about my experience living in different countries, travelling and politics.
