About Me

I'm an Architecture & Urbanism student, whose biggest aspiration is to know the whole wide world. I adore discovering new foods and learning new cultures and languages. This next year I'll be studying in the US and I plan on using my spare weekends travelling the country and meeting amazing people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While everyone adores staying at pretty hotels, traveling solo can end up being a bit lonely. I believe that Couchsurfing has the most sympathetic hosts there could be - people who open up not only their houses, but their lives to complete strangers, out of pure big heart. These are the people I'd like to be around (:

Interests

I'm an animal lover - especially my four Belgian Shepherds! I adore kids and I used to baby-sit and teach English at a preschool. I absolutely love eating, and my top 3 foods are sushi, polenta and potato salad. I used to be a goalie on my school's Handball team, and I've also done pilates and functional training. My favorite Friday night program is staying under the blankets watching a movie eating take-out, but if asked out to a party or dinner I'll very happily tag along and make the absolute best out of it!

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore classics like Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie. Recently I finished reading Oriana Fallaci's "Interviews with History and Conversations with Power", and it is absolutely a must-read! I love Tarantino, Woody Allen and Wes Anderson. As for music, I have a very eclectic taste, ranging from blues to funk, though my all-time-favorites are Simon and Garfunkel, Etta James, Coldplay and John Mayer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had 4 years worth of guitar classes and still can't play a thing - that's pretty amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can prepare the best potato salad ever! No modesty there since it's my Grandma's recipe hehehe My polenta is also pretty amazing, but quite messy since it involves frying on deep oil. There's also a peanut-butter and chocolate dessert I've mastered, so if you like I could definitely use it to sweeten up my stay (:
I adore listening to people's stories, experiences and jokes, and I also like sharing my own (except jokes, I really can't tell any).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully time! And maybe a chocolate pie at your favorite caffé? Definitely a lot of smiles and of course my ever present sarcasm.
