Hi, I'm Laura. I am an energetic and friendly individual and a graduate from the University of British Columbia. I am now working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at a clean energy company in the lower mainland. I'm definitely a go-go-go person, so with the little free time I have, I like to hang out with friends and travel at every opportunity I get. I have a Chinese heritage with a longstanding history in Vancouver, which has shaped me into the Canadian-Chinese "Banana" that I am today!

I think CS is a great opportunity to get out of your comfort zone, meet the fabulous people around the globe, and can provide a fantastic alternative to hotels and hostels. I want to see the world and make new friends along the way. I believe $$ should go towards experiences and be spent on friends and loved ones, old and new.

I've also hosted many couchsurfers in the past and am excited to see what's it's like to become the surfer!

兴趣

I'm very into pretty much all sports, with an emphasis on volleyball, soccer, and snowboarding/skiing. I enjoy hiking and exploring new places, but am also highly amused by a good book or great movie. I like social hangouts where some friends and I can just sit back, drink a few beers and chat or maybe mix it up with some board games.
