Some things I love: being outdoors, the sea in winter, talking about movies, music, social issues. I like the small coincidences in life (such as accidentally bumping into friends in unexpected places, catching the train right when you walk onto the platform). I plead guilty of eating too many sweets :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A few years ago I was hosted by Ella through couchsurfing. It was such a heartwarming experience meeting her and her family. It was my first experience ever on CS and it couldn't have been better. The year after, Ella was in Belgium and I was so happy to host her.
I appreciate that not everything is commercialised yet. Unfortunately I don't have space to host, but I truly hope that I can invite couchsurfers in the future. And regardless of the couch, it is already so nice to meet new friends through cs :)

Interests

Hiking, cycling, watching movies, listening to music. I like book exchanges. Going to art exhibitions makes me happy.

I enjoy indie music, folk, jazz, classical, ... Music that I can listen to over and over again: Pat Metheney, alt-j, Radiohead, Chris Thile, Sufjan Stevens, Avishai Cohen, Max Richter, Ludovico Einaudi, Steve Reich, Dvorak, Schubert, ...

Some authors whose work I find amazing are Doris Lessing, Hanya Yanagihara, W.G. Sebald, Ocean Vuong, Rebecca Solnit, Susan Sontag, Annie Ernaux, ...

There are so many good movies! La Chimera, 2046, Franz, Son of Saul, Before Sunrise, House of the flying daggers, Moonlight, Paju, Cloud Atlas, Call me by your name, Into the Wild, Victoria, Auf der anderen Seite, …

What I Can Share with Hosts

Totally depending on the host. If you want a quiet evening for yourself, I will not bother you. Otherwise I can cook for you and/or bring dessert :)
