About Me

There are plenty of interesting things to say about me. I'm just gonna make a quick list so that you can judge yourself:

- I usually celebrate my half-birthday more than my actual birthday
- It's very difficult for me to fall asleep without a pillow between my legs
- I give names to objects and I'll be very glad to introduce them to interested and interesting people
- I often speak to myself, sometimes aloud
- I can't eat spaghetti without cutting them in small pieces (yes, I'm Italian but we don't really attend courses on how to eat spaghetti, if you're wondering)
- I own 7 copies of the book "Pride and Prejudice", in 7 different languages
- I would truly love to be able to relax a part of my mind at a time so that I don't need to sleep, just like dolphins
- I would truly love to be a dolphin

Hope this helps on sketching me out. If it doesn't, I'm sure my photos will give you an idea for good.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just like everybody, I believe couchsurfing is a wonderful idea in order to travel in a cheap yet enriching way, considering that you can meet local people and learn new things about them and the place in which they live.
Also, the fact that you can get to know new people through organized events in your nerby is an amazing way to spend your free time!

So far I'm not able to host travelers because I live in a flat with other students in Ferrara, where I attend university. Hopefully in the future I'll have my own apartment so that I can start hosting!

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly entertain myself with Blink-182, Sum 41, Bruce Springsteen and last but not least Bob Dylan. I then admire The Beatles with all my heart. As regards Italian music, I'm passionately in love with lyrics and music by Fabrizio De André. Anyway I'm really opened to anything new, except for impositions.

As regards movies, my all time favorites are Titanic, Pride and Prejudice, Dead Poets Society, La vita è bella, The Intouchables, The Theory of Everything, Jane Eyre, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, 21 Blackjack, Pretty Woman, Indecent Proposal and some others.
As you may have noticed, it's quite hard to define the genres of movies I especially love watching so, just like music, I'm really opened to anything and particularly to open-minded people.

I may also have some favorite tv series and this will probably make me interesting only to a large public of teenagers but it would be despicable not to mention them just because I'm afraid of judgments.
I then admit to love Scrubs (which I believe is everything but a shame), Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl (which may be a little bit a shame), Türkisch für Anfänger, Downton Abbey and then I think it's enough for today but it's especially enough for my social life.

I eventually list my favorite books, hoping to distract my public from the fact that I'd love to be just as beautiful as Serena van der Woodsen and as powerful as Blair Waldorf in the Upper East Side of New York.
As I've probably already made clear, I'm in love with the objectively boring English literature of the 19th century, especially Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters. I then particularly like Zafón's books and their settings.
I've also subscribed to National Geographic and I especially like articles about weird habits of weird animals. I wrote down many interesting news about them that I'd love to read outloud in some inappropriate situations, if you wish to.
Not to repeat myself but, also as regards reading, the civil discussion about anything is always valid but I may be stricter on my preferences and potential suggestions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- One month volunteering on a wildlife conservation project in South Africa
- Homemade pizza with my flatmate

(just noticed I had to choose one thing: in this case, please only consider the second one)

Teach, Learn, Share

"They are so small that a dozen of them could dance on the head of a pin. They are more likely though, to dance on your face, which they do at night when they mate, before crawling back into your follicles by day to eat. Death comes at the precise moment when the mites, lacking an anus, fill up with feces, die and decompose on your head."
National Geographic, february 2015

This was just if you think you have problems in your life. Consider that mites don't have an anus. They don't. They literally die because they are full of feces.
If your objection is that your life sucks because your face is full of mites having sex and exploding with feces, consider that you're not the only one.

Can't wait to share other interesting stories!

I would also be very glad to teach you some Italian or whatever you may be interested to learn that I actually know. I'm sure that will be way less interesting, though.

I'm instead opened to learn anything regarding you or your country's habits and traditions.
