I am new to Couchsurfing (yes I am late to this older innovation - only joined in April 2016!) Therefore I do not have many references. I completely understand this can put people off. If you want to ask me something, please do not hesitate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling alone I thought it would be a great way in which to meet people. Obviously it is wonderful to travel alone but it is nice to be around others too when you are visiting a new city - if not for some amazing local restaurant suggestions and a common understanding. I completely respect privacy and the honour of being allowed to stay in someone's private house.

Interests

Film is a huge passion of mine. I studied Film at University and have travelled to many international film festivals. I also enjoy reading classical fiction and fantasy.

I really enjoy just getting a train somewhere and walking around, exploring a new place at the last minute. I spent 2 weeks in Scotland, Highlands, United Kingdom so I definitely am a fan of walking / hiking! I have hiked Snowdonia and Ben Nevis in Britain.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, I like lots of different styles but absolutely adore Neil Young, David Bowie, The Beatles, Rufus Wainwright, Pet Shop Boys, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye.
I don't listen to the radio unless it's playing 'classic 60s' or something.

Movies (this is one of my passions). My favourite film is Fargo. I remember watching it and feeling like it changed my whole perspective on film and inspired me to want to critically study Film as a subject.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I packed up for 2 months and inter-railed around Europe.
This year I travelled solo around Asia for 3 months.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I do like to cook (and clean! no I'm not joking). I make a mean chili prawn linguini. I also enjoy baking shortbread...
