Overview
About Me
I'm Laura, a Brazilian student of law and I lived in France for a few months. I love the summer, the sun and being next to the sea (even though I live in São Paulo haha). I also love big cities and their lifestyle (what explain my whole life living in the chaotic Brazilian metropolis). But mostly I'm a feminist vegetarian young woman, passionate by cats and life, trying to use most of my time to know more about my country, get into new cultures and make friends around the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Like a Brazilian citizen, I'm really into meeting new people and making friends. I want to travel and visit some new places but I think it's easier and richer when we do it with some local people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm really into Brazilian music, especially MPB, Bossa Nova and Samba. So, I could say my favorites artists are Chico Buarque, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Elis Regina, Beth Carvalho and Elza Soares. But I'm open to new types of art and interested in get into new cultures. In literature terms, my favorite book is "A hundred years of Solitude" and also "Americanah". I have especially interest in latin literature and feminist and political themes, so I do like to read some no fiction works too. Also, I like very much cinema, like french movies, specially from the "Nouvelle Vague" movement, and Tarantino's. Going to the cinema in a Friday night (alone or with friends) is one of my favorites things to do and after go to some bar to talk about the movie and share impressions.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach how to make some Brazilians receipts like caipirinha and brigadeiro and also how to dance funk (a typical Brazilian music) - if drunk haha. We can also practice some languages, like portuguese, english, french and maybe spanish.
