About Me
I am a teacher, learner and traveler from a small rural town in Saskatchewan, Canada. I have a love of maps, researching places around the world and sharing all my experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to connect with new people in the places I travel in a more authentic way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love almost all types of music - anything I can dance and sing along to. Always up for some country music and a good two-step.
Movies based on true events are generally my favorite. I love new interpretations of history and stories, especially the epic sports stories.
I love to read when I travel, but don't have a particular taste. Sometimes a love story is an easy read, but I also love reading stories based in history or ones on social justice.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked Machu Piccu in July 2017 and then taught my students about the experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
By trade, I am History teacher. I love teaching others about the history of Canada and learning about the history of other nations. I want to learn as much as I possibly can about the places that I teach about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A wealth of knowledge about Canadian history and how that could fit in with the history of other nations.
My experiences from small town rural life to traveling the globe.
In general, great conversation and appreciation of amazing people.
