I am a ceramic raku artist and jewelry instructor. I make handcrafted Ceramic Raku Jewelry and Components, as well as Ceramic Wall Sculpture and Home Decor. I also teach a variety of jewelry making classes at local colleges and at my Artist Home Studio. I exhibit at Bead Shows and Art/Craft Shows, have an Etsy shop that is starting to grow and make sales. I am mainly self employed, so I spend a lot of my time working. Lucky for me I love what I do!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couchsurfing to help me travel on a limited budget. When I am traveling to exhibit and sell my raku jewelry I usually stay in hostels. I enjoy the community, the comraderie with other travelers, and meeting people from all over the world. I was introduced to CS by a fellow jewelry enthusiast in a FB Bead Chat. Couch surfing sounds very similar to what I have already experienced and enjoy! Who knows, it might be even better!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a very successful business making handcrafted Colored Porcelain Jewelry and had large number of accounts, including, museum shops, galleries, department stores, boutiques, ... My jewelry is all handmade using simple, homemade production tools, no fancy or high tech tools.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a jewelry instructor and would be glad to share a basic beading jewelry lesson or beginning wire wrapping lesson with my host. I enjoy teaching and am told I am a very patient teacher. My goal is for my students to have fun. I figure if you are having fun, you are learning new skills.

I always like to learn new things and figuring out efficient ways to make things.
