Hi,

I'm Laura. New to the world of couch surfing. I worked in Newcastle, Australia as a registered nurse but since have taken a career break, quitting my job and now have a UK working visa. Ive been working for a family as their au pair for the past 10 months, casually in the hospitals here in Northern Ireland too. I love travelling. My main reason for being over in this rather 'non-sunny' part of the world.
I love to meet new people and really get a feel for a culture, not just playing tourist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people from all over the world, get to know a culture. I always seem to enjoy a city/ country more when I get to immure myself. Normally speaking I would stay in hostels, but thought why not on something different.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rom Com for sure. Not my of a movie person though.
Enjoy all genres of music minus rap. Not too fussy in that regard.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteered at a health clinic in Nepal. Such an eye opening experience.
