HI I'm Laura! I'm currently studying Biology at the University of Kentucky with the goal of moving to Australia to be a zoologist. I am a compulsive nomad. By the time I graduate UK in 2016 I will have studied abroad 3 times-- in Australia, Rome, and the Indian Himalayas. I'm hoping to hit all 7 continents before I turn 30 (2 more left. South America and Antartica, I'm coming for ya). I LOVE all animals besides snakes and squirrels, being outside, and witty people. I actually do not drink, so if you're looking for a guest to party with, I am not your girl. I have absolutely no problem with people drinking, I just personally do not. But I DO have lots of pictures of my dog and other cute animals I can provide, as well as an extremely sarcastic sense of humor. Also I can make crepes. So if you like crepes, we will be friends.

It combines two of my favorite things- traveling and meeting new people! I think it would be amazing to stay with a local and see a side of the city tourists don't get to. I'm not a fan of traditional tourists. I like to go off the beaten path.

Country music. Don't hold it against me, I know most people hate it, but I love it. I also listen to rock, alternative, pop, screamo. A random mix.
Movies: Anchorman, Inception, Bridesmaids, Little Miss Sunshine.
Books: Gone With the Wind, Great Gatsby, Harry Potter. I reread all the Harry Potter books at least once a year.
Also I adore the American TV show The Office. I can quote it for days.

I worked with cheetahs at N/a'an ku se Wildlife Sanctuary in Namibia, Africa last summer, and it was the best experience of my life! While I was there I also had a sleepover with a baby baboon named Violet. She was great. If I meet you I'll show you pictures she's adorable.
