I have taken one year off after finishing high school for the purpose of travelling. I LOVE immersing myself in different countries and cultures, to get to know new people and learn other languages! I have been working 2 months in Montreal as an au pair girl (similar to babysitting) and am currently travelling the East of Canada and the US. Next autumn I am starting university in Germany to become a teacher in Maths and Biology. But I hope that travelling will always stay an important part of me throughout my life.

I've always preferred living together with locals to staying lonely at some boring, cut off 5 star hotel. Especially as I am travelling alone, it is very nice having someone to talk to every now and then. Even if it is just for the evening. I have lived 3 months in New Zealand, 6 months in Chile and 2 months in Canada in hostfamilies and I loved the experience! Especially living together with other couchsurfers, open-minded and outgoing people, who have a lot of stories to share, must be amazing *-*
