About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travelling. Eating. Studying. Meeting people. Cooking.
Money comes and goes but time only passes by, so I think it is essential to use the time I have and live as I want to.
ABOUT ME
Right now: I'm spending my last year of med school abroad in switzerland in different parts of the country, enjoying the suisse way of life when I'm not in the hospital. This means being in the mountains, doing sports, getting to know new people, exploring the country, visiting art exhibitions.
Grewn up in Düsseldorf, I decided I had to live somewhere else after I finished school, so I moved to Berlin to study medicine. Berlin is an awesome city especially if you are open hearted, interested in culture and arts, want to enjoy some night life and meet people from all over the world...
I started couch surfing 2012 when I took a year off after school to travel around and see the world. I traveled by myself so it was a good and easy way to meet people, make friends and get to know some locals who can give good advice on their home town. Especially as I was on my own, I really needed to connect with people, and Couchsurfers always gave me good tips what to explore next and the hospitality was overwhelming.
I'm not a very shy person, I like to talk and I'm always interested on what other people are doing or thinking. The best way to a good conversation might be to cook together (I love cooking! And I would really like to cook with you or just prepare you a dish (if you like, a typical german one) and eat together afterwards.
In my free time I love being outdoors, doing hikes, going swimming in summer and snowboarding in winter or biking. And other times reading a good book, watching a movie or having a long conversation with a good friend makes me happy too.
I like to go into town and enjoy a glass of wine or just stay home with friends and cook together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Part of the couch surfing community since 2012.
Absolutely love it!
Best way to meet awesome people all around the world, make new friends, see places you don't learn about with only a travel guide and just have a good time.
Especially when you travel by yourself, something I quite like and do, it is a good way to get into touch with the local culture, with the people and its also a good way to show people about my own culture and country...
Note: As I am living in hospital accomodation at the moment, I can't host because its forbidden to have visitiors overnight.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working and saving money for 3 years so I could take half a year off after I graduated from school and before I started university to travel around the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Recently I visited the cousin of my grandpa in San Francisco (so would that by my grandcousin? gran-grand-cousin?), she's 79 years old and she goes on a 7 hour hike every single week, on a 2 week trip through Yosemite National Park every year and I never met a person her age still so open-minded and not judging. She offered me to stay right away although we've never met before. If I can be just a little bit like her that age I'd be more than happy, she really impressed me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can cook awesome meals together or I cook something for you, and enjoy them with a bottle of wine or some beers. We can go hiking. I can teach you german or french.
