I'm an "outgoing introvert," constantly increasing in complexity. I love to read, learn, listen, and experience in order to better understand society. I'm a graduate student in sociology at University of Hawai'i at Manoa.

I lived in Korea for three years as an English teacher. I speak Korean conversationally and enjoy modern Korean literature and learning about local history and contemporary sociopolitical movements.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Others recommended it to me as a good way to participate in the sharing economy. I travel alone, and I want to help other budget travelers...traveling shouldn't just be for people who have money. Let's do what we can to help one another in this life.

Interests

Sociology is my consuming passion. I also read a lot, run, surf, paddle, dance (salsa/bachata/Argentine tango), sketch, study calligraphy, sing in a choir, practice taekwondo and yoga, and study Korean. None of my hobbies are monetized.

My favorite places to be are jazz bars, coffee shops, bookstores, libraries, the beach, and anywhere on Saipan.
