ABOUT ME

I am a passionate and caring individual. I am studying Peace and Conflict Studies, learning skills in conflict resolution and peace building. My passion for traveling has lead me to many new countries and cultures. I am always excited to meet new people and learn more about a new place.

PHILOSOPHY

I haven't quite figured out my personal philosophy. I do like the philosophical principles of Taoism. So far my life has been about experiences and learning. I also enjoy giving back, but I have found that whenever I go to give, donate or volunteer I almost always get more out of the experience than I am able to give. But I keep trying.

Interests

I really enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone and to put myself in new and exciting situations. This has inspired my love for travel and culture. I love eating, all types of food-- I love trying new international dishes and I also consequently love cooking food and learning new recipes and cooking techniques.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently took a trip to the Grand Canyon. I am always slightly disappointed when I look at my pictures because they do not even begin to capture the magic and beauty of the Grand Canyon. Those memories and moments can only be held in the heart, it was truly a magical place to see. I spent a great deal of time growing up in the Midwest on the prairie and while that is certainly beautiful in its own way, moving to Alaska has left me awestruck every morning when I look out my window. The glacier, ocean, mountains, flowers, and wildlife are beautiful and fascinating. Never a dull day.
