Overview
About Me
I love meeting new people with different cultural backgrounds, exchanging experiences and ideas...simply, i just can't imagine my life without the lovely people i have met, meet and hopefully will meet in the future:))
I like to think of myself as a very tolerant and outgoing person, with a good sense of humour and who is able to take the best of this life on earth.....my motto: "always try to look on the bright side...life is too short for bitterness!"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to travel at a slow pace and to get a real feeling of a country, its culture, its people, and there's nothing better for that than to share some moments with locals or foreigners that have spent some time in that country !
Interests
I love photography, reading novels and discovering all the wonders that other countries have on display.
I'm also a big fan of trekking. I've hiked in Nepal, Peru, the Dolomites (the Italian Alps) and Scotland, and I'm always thinking of what will be my next trek :).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting a monastery in Mustang (a remote area of Nepal under stong Tibetan influence) that could only be reached by foot after over a week of walking. Our group of 5 was the only group of tourists there at that point. I could feel that sense of belonging to the wonderful natural setting surrounding the monastery and to the spirituality of the monks making their daily prayers. I left a little piece of my heart there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really enjoyed teaching English to kids in Italy when I worked as au pair during the summer years back.
