About Me

*travel like a local state of mind*

ABOUT ME

I'm a really easy going superduper chill person who looooves to travel above all!
I'm leaving Italy, heading to Sydney on a WHV, planned to stay at least 6 months.
I'm actually hoping to find someone who can host me for the first days while getting all the paperworks needed done and the search of a job.
I'd be very happy to spend some time together but without pressure, I don't want to be a dead weight for anyone!.. and I'd be happy to help with anything if needed!

I used to be very shy but after having lived a year in the US and the fact that I worked in a bar for two years, I've become more comfortable being social.
If I like a person I can talk with her/him for hours without even realize how time flies so fast.

Probably the thing that I like the most when I'm traveling is meeting new people and focusing on them more than on seeing things. That's something I discovered living abroad. It's always funny to see how things, thoughts and customs change from a place to another one. You always learn something new about yourself and from other people.

PHILOSOPHY

"..but you are wrong if you think that the joy of life comes principally from human relationships. God's placed it all around us, it is in everything, anything we can experience. People just need to change the way they look at things. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not an extrovert girl at first but I'm a really open minded person who just loves to be surrounded by new people while traveling, it makes me really happy to receive tons of new information from my surroundings. Someone once called me "sensations seeker".
I just adore people watching and discover new cultures, way of living and thinking.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was during New Year's Eve (2013/4) in LA!
Then I've been hosted by three hitchhikers I met in Yellowstone and surfed for two months with 3 of my friends during a roadtrip through the US and México. Useless to say that without couchsurfing we couldn't have done anything we did. Couchsurfing simply saved our lives more than once and we met wonderful people thanks to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

getting stuck in the desert in the US, during a roadtrip in Arches NP.

I lived and worked in the US as an Au Pair (nanny) for 10 months and travelled the last 3 with three friends from Italy who joined me in the US.
During our travel we focused on an art project we called "ALBE Project" (https://www.facebook.com/albeproject)
(https://www.couchsurfing.org/profile.html?id=5I34KQOHP). We started our trip from southern Utah then Las Vegas, northern Mexico and California, where we finished. We just used Couchsurfing as accommodations. We changed something like 15 couches in two months.
