ABOUT ME

I love to have fun, travel, and be outside. I've taught English in Thailand for 2 years and traveled all over Europe and Southeast Asia. James and I love to camp and try to sport climb anywhere we can.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life because I am only given one life and I do not take it for granted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I lived in my old house in Boone, NC with 4 other roommates we hosted a lot of couch surfers and hosted couch surfing parties. I love hosting and surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had the best first experience ever I think. It was in Kuching, Malaysian Borneo and it could not have been better. We arrived as Lucas was setting up for a pre-RWMF party and it is set in a garden with fountains, candles, tables, cushions, etc. We stayed 5 nights and became more like guests than couchsurfers. His house was absolutely stunning and he is the kindest guy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

living in yangon when aung san suu kyi was finally elected in a free vote, becoming involved in the lives of the most awesome thai 12 year olds, flying into the worlds shortest runway, bathing rescued elephants in kanchanaburi, going to the rainforest world music festival in borneo, diving in the most northern island in indonesia, summiting the hardest climb of my life on mt. rinjani, living the dream on gili air, swimming with green sea turtles, climbing on the beach in tonsai, riding through the hills of laos, backpacking down the coast of vietnam, kayaking through the islands of the andamen sea, bicycling on all the roads in old town chiangmai...
