About Me

CURRENT MISSION

go with the flow

ABOUT ME

Hi I'm Laura, Dutch artist living in Barcelona. I love to travel & meet new people, hear their stories from all over the world. I have had tens of guests, they inspire me and show me so many ways to look at life.
I feel free when on the road myself, preferably without schedules and fixed destinations, and i admire people who do the same: stepping into the unknown with a positive heart, especially when they are women doing this alone, most especially from countries where a woman is not supposed to be independent.
I earn my living by painting and i love this kind of life. I sell my paintings in a gallery and on an art market, and on the internet: www.artedelaura.com

PHILOSOPHY

All real wisdom comes from within

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have my official hosting availability on a hold, because if not, my mailbox get clogged with tens of requests every day. But i do host sometimes, when new people pass by and there is a click, when a friend suggests somebody, etc. I like to follow my gut feeling in this, and it always ends up in the most positive experience. so this way works for me just fine.
We share food, interests, love, ideas, personal experiences, and i offer my knowledge of Barcelona and my skills and my crazy experiences in the art world of Barcelona.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfing is an amazing invention. I had totally wonderful experiences both with guests and with hosts. I am very grateful. This is sharing in the best manner that people are capable of.
