Über mich
CURRENT MISSION
Spending a semester in Sopron, Hungary, absorbing as much magyar as I can, and connecting with that part of me that has always belonged to Magyarország. :)
ABOUT ME
Hey! I'm a student at BYU studying human development with a minor in music (violin, but I love to sing as well). I couldn't live without music, dance, and being outside. I love warm weather and fashion, and I'm working on honing my cooking skills. My friends say I never get mad and that I've been everywhere (while that's definitely an overstatement, I do love to travel and would LOVE to make that true). I'm not one of those people who can sit down all day--I love to be moving--especially hiking and tossing around a Frisbee or a football or running or dancing or at the gym or swimming or...you get the idea =). I also love to challenge myself and test my limits in most every way, be it conquering a fear of heights, trying a new activity in a foreign country, or learning a language.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm in the process of working this out. But what I've been learning is that the most valuable things in life are people and experiences. Everyone has something you can learn from them and it's always worth it to take advantage of opportunities and take risks. When life throws you a curve ball, just roll with it and you'll come out okay on the other side. =)

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I am woefully out of touch with the movie industry. I have a list of movies to the moon and back that I've been told I need to see. I love watching movies though =). Honestly, as long as it's written well I enjoy reading it, but during school I rarely pleasure read. Some of my recent favorites include "Lone Survivor" and "The Name of the Wind." Music, I can appreciate most anything from classical to hip hop, but I prefer to avoid vulgarity.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Hm...probably some of the more unusual things I've done are along the lines of swimming in a shark tank, a stingray tank, holding a penguin, and swimming with a dolphin. I need to add riding a camel and elephant to this list (and not at a circus!). I've also been to the top of the Eiffel Tower, hiked a smoking Mt. Vesuvius, and touched the magic rock at Macchu Pichu on New Year's Day :).
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I love cooking, especially learning to make foreign dishes, but the only thing I'm comfortable teaching is bread. I would also love to do a kind of language swap! I love languages and I try to pick something up everywhere I go, so if you want some English practice, this is the place!
