ABOUT ME
I feel most alive when I am meeting new people from different backgrounds and with different life experiences (from old people giving me humorous life lectures on the train to my kindergarten students teaching me how to whip nae nae and dab). I love immersing myself in other cultures and learning other languages. I studied Spanish for 8 years in school and then in the past few years have revived it as I have made friends with Spanish speakers at work. I also studied Hindi in college and got to study both Hindi and Urdu in intensive language programs in India.
Language study has become a portal into my love of the culture, music, and dance of these regions. I danced bhangra with a competitive team in college and on the Boston Bhangra team. Everyone should try bhangra if you want to feel pure elation coursing through your body :)
I love to sing! I've been known to sing in the public bathroom at work...but I have even more fun making music with others.
I run places just to get from here to there faster. I love a good pick-up game of soccer or ultimate frisbee. The outdoors is my space.
