Hey hey! :)

I’m Laura, I was born and raised in Sicily, Italy, but I don't feel Italian at all.
The reality is that I don't feel like I belong to any specific country or culture.
I like to define myself more as a citizen of planet Earth!

At 17 I moved to the US (Montana) and lived there as an exchange student for almost a year.
That's where I naturally acquired the English language and got introduced to the outdoor world!
I then moved back to Sicily, graduated high school/secondary school, and then moved to Dublin, Ireland for university where I lived for two academic years.
I ended up dropping out and decided to move to Iceland where I lived for 5ish months.

After Iceland I moved back to Dublin, Ireland for university again...ended up dropping out again after 3ish months ahahah!
I then started studying online which now gives me more time and location flexibility.
Since then I've spent a few months in Spain near Seville, and a few more months near Barcelona.

Sounds quite messy and chaotic.
Yup, life lately has been anything but stable and linear, but I'm slowly learning to love my own unique journey and process.

My current life mantra:

"Take the risk.
Make a bunch of mistakes.
Learn from them.
Adjust.
Repeat."

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm here as I love meeting new people and exchanging ideas.

I've been on a few trips across Iceland with some couchsurfers in the summer of 2023, and had sooo much fun!

Let's go hitchhike! Or just meet for coffee?
I'm really up to anything and everything.
Just remember to bring all of yourself! ;)
