About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to travel the world and meet everyone in it

ABOUT ME

Hellooo there, I'm Laura! Very pleased to meet you.

I'm (was and going to be soon again) a student. I graduated from the University of Sheffield last year in Neuroscience and now I have a big move in October to Munich to undertake a Masters in Psychology!

Although my brain is programmed to Science I'm also an avid art fan. I've spent the last year pursuing all things creative and started my own little business making and selling Oneises (animal all in one costumes for those of you not in the know!). I also spend a lot of my time behind the camera lens and have a photo blog I try (and generally fail) to keep updated.

Other than that I'm sure my friends would say I'm just lovely (well you'd hope they would). I love to travel and make new friends. I have a good sense of fun and adventure and love nothing more than to laugh.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to do/see/try anything once.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't participated so much as yet as I've been doing all my surfing through my boyfriends site. With my relocation to Munich drawing near I thought it was about time I made some friends of my own. I can participate by hosting now in Sheffield, and hopefully eventually in Munich.

For now I'm going to hopefully heavily use couch surfing for advice and friendship!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some amazing people come to stay and some even more amazing people put us up when we were in a pickle!

Everyone so far has been so lovely!

Interests

As well as the above I love to travel and try and get my hands on any adventure going. For the past 3 years I've done a hitch-hike from England to Eastern Europe for charity. It's been amazing working for this organisation, seeing the world on a shoestring while feeling great your doing some good and causing a difference at the same time :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The world just outside my window, living on the edge of the Peak district is absolutely incredible, if you travel to England remember London is not the only place, the countryside is where the beauty's at.

Sarajevo is one of the most amazing cities I've seen, I have an uttermost amount of respect for them.

Teach, Learn, Share

As of today I know how to make and bind a book.

I'm one hell of a seamstress so if you've got any rips or tears from your travels I can patch them straight up.

Also, what better than, I make animal costumes, you get to dress up as some odd creature while spending the night chilling in my pad. Unless you have extra time I could even help you make one.
