About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spread smiles worldwide

ABOUT ME

Kia Ora, hola, hello! My name is Laura and I love to meet people, learn, talk, dance, travel and swim in the ocean. I also love to smile and watch the positive infection spread over other peoples' faces.

Everyday is a new opportunity to explore, learn, meet people and face challenges. You could say I'm rather enthusiastic about life. Living is just so damn brilliant, I figured enjoying it is the best way to create a good time for yourself and those that surround you.

I'm currently travelling through North and South America meeting amazing locals, learning about life and the planet and all the little mysteries that surround us.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in caring for others no matter what their relation is to you, caring for the planet as it is a pretty fantastic place to live and it should stay that way, and sharing food, love and knowledge because those are the most important resources we have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I sleep on your couch/spare bed/floor. One day when I have a couch/spare bed/floor I invite you to do the same.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed just once officially, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was fantastic. I've also been sleeping on floors and couches all over the US with friends and friends of friends and friend of friend of friends. I think it is a wonderful exercise of trust and sharing and unity between fellow humans.

Interests

Things that keep me content include people especially passionate and positive individuals, all things of the natural world particularly things of indescribable beauty such as sunsets, sunrises and views from mountaintops, books, thought-provoking films, all animals and creatures, music in particular live and dancable tunes, food sans high fructose corn syrup (good luck finding that crap in NZ), surfing, snowboarding and outdoor sports in general.
