Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Folk, alternative, acoustic, traditional. I love string instruments especially the cello. Guitars around a campfire. Dance music and bopping around the living room.

Movies: I don't really like watching movies anymore, I am disapointed over and over. I think I would rather go for a walk? I really liked Inception, Cloud Atlas, American Beauty and various docs. I like to think.

Books: Becoming Human - Jean Vanier; The Heart of Christianity - Marcus Borg; Oryx and Crake & The Handmaiden's Tale - Margaret Atwood; I Will Not Die an Unlived Life - Dawna Markova; And Tango Makes Three -Peter Parnell and Justin Richardson; The Middle Stories - Sheila Heiti; The Giver - Lois Lowry

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a program called Katimavik when I was 19 - it's a government youth leadership program. I lived in BC, Québec and Nova Scotia with 11 other people. I met my soul mates and volunteered full time for 9 months. I swam in two different oceans within a few short months.

It is also amazing to be a part of my little sisters lives. They are almost 10 years old and they amaze me all the time. It is amazing to watch someone grow and learn. I am blessed.

Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia.

Huge trees in Cathedral Grove on Vancouver Island.

Pretty much every sunset.

Quite a few smiles and pairs of eyes have done it for me too.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make some wicked raspberry jam and whole wheat bread : )

Working on spaghetti sauce and soups.

I'm good at listening. I hope I am a good teacher.
