ABOUT ME

I’m 26, from Sydney Australia and only just started travelling this year (which is really late for an Aussie!) - having been away for about 7-months now. I am a woman with many different interests, and would like to think that I am the kind of person who is up for anything, will try anything (at least once) and one that you can’t ‘put into a box’.
Prior to travelling I was working in the corporate world, and absolutely loved the challenges and lifestyle that went with it; but on the weekends you would find me surfing at the beach, wakeboarding up the river, camping somewhere up the coast, going to a music gig or doing something completely random with my amazing mates back home.
I am a planner but also spontaneous, which I know is a bit of a contradiction, but basically I enjoy making the most every day and don’t want to waste what could be an epic day twiddling my thumbs waiting for something to happen.
I’m pretty laid-back, love a chat and learning new things, can get crazy (especially when my alter-ego ‘Loose Lauz’ comes out), and also love meeting new people and making new memories.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing as I am currently travelling, so am unable to host anyone until I return to Australia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven’t couch surfed yet, planning to in Austria, but have met many couch surfers on my trip who have told me about the amazing people they have met, places they have stayed and experiences.

Movies/TV shows – I love a good movie (can’t think of absolute faves off the top of my head), HBO TV shows are excellent and enjoy binge watching TV shows back-to-back
Music – I love all genres of music. My favourite is still punk rock (haven’t grown up from my 15yo self!), but love all music for different moods – acoustic for road trips, indie for afternoon drinks with friends, dubstep for those nights out when you are still partying at 3am
Books – game of thrones, scar tissue, marching powder, any good bio or crime too

Can make guacamole (lived on this in Peru), Spinach cob dip, open a beer and pour perfectly into a glass.
Would love to learn anything – but languages would be #1
