My one real consistent hobby for the last decade has been running. I ran in high school and college, have run a marathon in the past year, races here and there. But mostly I just like to run to spend quality time with myself or friends. I like to have to time to check out new areas and stop to hop a fence or pick up something strange on the ground. Running is my means to explore.
One of my major goals for the year has been to actually make time to do creative/new things and not use excuses like work or the fact that I didn't start when I was ten to convince myself I can't do things. So I've been dabbling in journaling, writing fiction, doing puzzles, long boarding, hiking, camping, spray painting, drawing, painting. Just being all over the place and plenty amateur and letting that be an okay thing.

Any time I've ever made some one laugh. Like a real, genuine, from-the-gut laugh. That was the most amazing sound, most worth-it moment, most beautiful sight I've ever experienced.
