About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Complete a crossword without cheating

ABOUT ME

Whilst traveling I will always be happy with a deck of cards, some local beer and good conversation. I don`t take things too seriously and get excited by the prospect of meeting interesting new people every day.

I am now back in London and am dreaming of future travels whilst saving up some pennies to fund them!

PHILOSOPHY

To be carefree but thoughtful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't think there is much that I get more excited about than the concept of Couch surfing and explaining the brilliance of it to others.

I have couch surfed in Switzerland, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, South America, the States, Canada and Central America and have also done quite a bit of hosting whenever I could.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I initially couch surfed my way through Switzerland and became instantly enamoured by this incredibly unpredictable way of travelling.

I've also couch surfed in Spain with a friend of mine, which again enhanced the genius of couch surfing in my eyes and allowed us to meet some incredibly lovely people.

I've surfed in South and North America and most recently was welcomed into the home of some jolly lovely people whilst cycling from Amsterdam to Paris.

Interests

The sun and snow (put together is a bonus), rock climbing, crepes, attempting to surf, poker, friend`s art and occasionally a professional's, strong coffee, all things left-handed, healthy yet yummy food, yoga, candid photography - I need to work on this, books that read my mind. And lots of live music!

Music, Movies, and Books

About to embark upon Wes Anderson's body of work and the daunting prospect of Sopranos from square one. Always happy listening to The Beatles and all things Motown, plus a little bit of funk. And of course my husbandcleverly strumming away on his guitar. Am generally in awe of books by Michael Ondaatje, Victor Hugo, Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Alexandre Dumas and whatever I'm reading for work!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen: Lake Moraine, Alberta Canada - one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

Done:Wine cycling tour in Argentina - if you've done this with Mr.Hugo you'll understand its amazingness...
