ABOUT ME

I´m Laura from Colombia, Bogotá, i'M living now in france.
I´m a graduate musician,my emphasis is in singing, guitar, piano and composition. I´m a Flamenco and Bellydance dancer. Moreover, i love to study about anthropology and do social work. I have been working in education for 3 years, specially with children :), my dream is to travel a lot and know new cultures, understand their costumes, learn about their history and be part of different social and artistic projects. I also want to meet new people with other perspectives about life :)

I´m so adventurous, calm, happy, friendly,artistic, creative, kind, i love to help people, very conscious about nature, open-minded, motivated, calm, sensible, simple, passionate about so many things :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a traveling girl, i was looking for a page that could help me in my next trips for searching accommodation and at the same time, for knowing new people around the world. Besides, i always wanted to share my house with travelers and students, because in that way you can learn many things about the cultural diversity. Every one has a lot of histories, experiencies and information that can be share with other people :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experience in couchsurfing has been amazing. I met a lot of people in my country from Israel, France, India, China and England. I hosted some of them in my house. We spent incredible experiences in Bogota and interesting conversations. When i was traveling in Egypt, India and Sri lanka, i used couchsurfing also, and it was really useful for knowing other places different than the turistics and full of culture and history. I made very good friends during all my trip. Couchsurfing is a great tool, a great way for meeting interesting people, for learning, growing and experience our world cultures.

Interests

I love traveling, reading about anthropology, psychology and human sciences. I´m passion about arts,as a musician, i spend a lot of my time singing, playing guitar, piano or percussion and doing compositions. Moreover, i like drawing, writing poems, photography and dancing. i like a lot the different sightseeings and walking, hiking, inside the nature. I love taking animal pictures, specially birds and the details that sometimes people don't notice :)

i like a lot of music styles and genres such as World music, Jazz, Colombian music, Arabic, Flamenco, Rock, Folk, Classic, Bossa nova, Indian, etc.
I like independent Movies, historical films, documentaries, some bollywood movies, arabic movies, short films, etc.
My favorites books are about the arabic culture, indian culture, poetry, scientific books in social fields such as psychology, pedagogy, anthropology and social work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first trip was to Brasil and i was 9 years old. For me it was a beautiful experience because i went with a musical group for participating in a music festival, so i had to learn a little of portuguese and try to comunicate with the other groups, it was amazing.

For me every trip has incredible and amazing experiences. First of all, in each country there are a variety of cultures and communities, so you can learn many things about them, their costumes and history. I love that. Travel is the most amazing adventure that everyone can have.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to show to people about Colombia and its culture. Share with them about my interests in arts and social work. Learn about other thoughts differents than mine. Learn about new cultures and understand some aspects about them. I really love to share all i can with others, my time,my life, its a beautiful opportunity to grow each day.
