I'm currently living in Bournemouth in England and am lucky enough to be having a year off from working so that I can spend some time travelling, doing some extra study and focusing on my health! 我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm attracted to the Couchsurfing community as I feel you can only truly experience a place if you have the opportunity (and honour) to see it through the eyes of someone who lives there. I also feel life at home can be enriched if we have the opportunity to hang out and host people from other places. These experiences can then teach us so much about ourselves and the world we live in and I'm eager to learn as much as I can whilst I'm here!

Hopefully, I'll get to talk to you about my interests in person, but as Couchsurfing have asked, I'll share a few more details here as well
* Music - I love singing and playing the piano - I like writing songs too :) I also like to pretend I can play other instruments like the guitar, drums, violin and flute but really I'm just dabbling!
* Theatre/Comedy/Dance - I studied Theatre Studies at university and although I don't get to do much at the moment, I still enjoy going to the Theatre whenever I can. I also enjoy comedy nights and watching dance - esp contemporary/physical theatre. I love dancing but my body doesn't always want to cooperate as I have Fibromyalgia.
*Meditation - Recently been getting into mindfulness through the Headspace app and I'm curious about other forms of meditation such as Transcendental. Part of motivation behind travelling is to live more in the present and find space and time for more meditation.

I love all different types of music - at the moment I'm listening to Jesca Hoop and Feist a lot.
I can never remember the books I read or the movies I've seen! Just finished the other Hoffman sister which was really good and I liked the Vanishing act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O Farrell which I read recently. Some movies that have stuck in my mind are: "The Eternal sunshine of the Spotless mind", "The Lobster", and "Memento" but I love feel good movies like "I feel Pretty" and "Pitch Perfect" as well!

I'm a trained primary teacher and I've specialised in Special Needs and would be happy to share any of that knowledge. I can teach English as a second language, piano and singing too.
I would love to learn more about meditation, new languages and to improve my guitar skills
