About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a very outgoing and sociable person with a passion for travel. Really, there are times when I can't stop talking about the amazing things I have seen and the lasting friendships I have made during my hitchhikingtrips and summer universities with AEGEE, my traineeship in Sri Lanka and my backpacking trips in South-East Asia. There is nothing more inspiring than sharing special moments with other people, whether it is drinking local beer in a pub, running through paddy fields with a group of crazy expats or enjoying some great guitar music on the beach. Traveling is all about people and sharing experiences. I really believe you learn most about yourself and about the world when traveling.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short. Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not always be the party you hoped for. But while we're here, we should dance.
Interests
Currently I'm trying to finish my Master thesis in International Relations, but in my spare time I try to hang out as much as I can with my friends. I used to be a very active member of AEGEE, organizing exchanges, trips abroad and other events for members. Unfortunately because of finishing my studies I haven't been able to do this lately, but I still love to bring people together. I'm a big music-addict and love discovering new bands or going to small gigs in Groningen. Furthermore, I enjoy horse-riding, diving, running, hiking and watching (preferably arthouse) movies. I'm into photography as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Releasing babyturtles on the beach in Sri Lanka, because I felt so close to nature.
Going back to Sri Lanka after a year and experiencing the power of friendship, even long distance. It's incredible how much of an impact people can have on eachother. Distance is easy to overcome, especially in this digital age.
Hitchhiking throughout Europe and being overwhelmed by the kindness in people.
