ABOUT ME

Well, for starters I dislike filling in these about you boxes, so I am just going to make a brief intro. If you want to learn more, just talk to me :)
I'm a young Canadian, just recently returned home after 2 years of adventuring in France. I am very proud of where I come from and try to share as much Canadian love as possible to people I meet. I love to sing in choirs or just in the shower and play guitar in my spare time, and recently I have also taken up skiing and started learning snowboarding in February. I studied French in University and now that I'm finished my degree I am back to traveling :) I hope to see many more cities and countries and have tons of adventures in the very near future!

PHILOSOPHY

Well let's see.. I suppose one philosophy of mine is that I try to live my life having no regrets. Any bad experiences or things I'm not proud of are part of what make me who I am. I may look back on some moments and think I should have acted differently, but then I wouldn't have learned anything from it. Without mistakes life would just be boring and we'd have no stories to tell. And as my Dad always says, "Whoever has the most stories when they die, wins." (wins what? who knows).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I use it to try and meet new people and see new places :)
I hope to eventually host other couchsurfers in the future when I have a semi-permanent residence.

I am new to the couchsurfing world, but have used it a bit in France to meet a few couchsurfers for a drink and friendly conversation, or to enjoy giant pizzas and free wine from a friendly man in a pizza van. I also stayed with some people in Montpellier.

Interests

summer nights playing guitar around a campfire with friends, hiking through forests, the smell of rain, Autumn weather and colourful leaves, learning about other cultures and languages, staying out all night dancing and partying, staying home cuddled up in front of a movie with a delicious cup of tea, listening to and discovering all kinds of music, having new adventures and experiences, the first glittery snow of the year, sun showers in the middle of the afternoon, falling asleep to the sound of thunderstorms, all kinds of animals, long conversations about absolutely anything, photography, theatre and art, warm fuzzy slippers, polyamory, feminism, new cultures and languages, and of course hugs.

There are too many that I have yet to discover! I like almost everything, but in each category I suppose I prefer comedies, rock (mostly alternative) and ... non-fiction :P
