I just recently quit my job in landscape design to travel the world! Its been a long overdue trip, one that i've been wanting to do for many years and im thrilled to finally have the opportunity to do so. Although I grew up in NYC, my parents are actually from Romania and Curaçao.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have met so many people so far in my travels who rave about couchsurfing, and I'm quite excited to try it out. Although i appreciate hostels , my style of traveling is really about connecting with locals and getting to see a place through their eyes. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to do so!

Aunque aprecio albergues , mi estilo de viajar es realmente acerca de la conexión entre los lugareños y llegar a ver a través de sus ojos . Couchsurfing parece una buena manera de hacerlo!

I love to dance, i love music, i love nature, and i love cities! Ive recently realized that although i obviously enjoy learning about new places and seeing new things, the real highlight of traveling for me is meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is such a hard one - I love so much stuff. I listen to a ton of brazilian and latin music like Jorge Ben, Juan Luis Guerra, Manu Chao, Criolo... I have a huge soft stop for reggae like Collie Buddz, Fat Freddy's Drop...

I'm pretty obsessed with Chet Faker and Flume at the moment... Glass Animals make me happy, Jamie XX as well, Kimbra, Milky Chance, Mumford and Sons,... you get the idea, i love music.

I love documentaries - Vice is such a cool channel and I shamelessly love nature documentaries as well.

Just finished reading Shantaram and loved it, and i have The Book of Laughter and Forgetting next on my list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just recently got my Scuba PADI certification which is a HUGE accomplishment for me - its been a fear of mine for as long as i can remember, and i had the opportunity to finally do so in San Andres, Colombia. Being underwater and getting to look up at the sun shining through was one of the coolest moments ive had in a while!

Hace poco recibí mi certificación PADI Scuba que es un logro enorme para mí - que ha sido un temor mío por tanto tiempo como puedo recordar , y tuve la oportunidad de finalmente hacerlo en San Andrés, Colombia . Estar bajo el agua y conseguir que mirar hacia el sol brillando a través de uno de los mejores momentos que he tenido en mucho tiempo !
