Overview
About Me
French 22 years old student girl. I was raised in the suburb of Paris but I moved in the south of France (Aix-en-Provence) four years ago.
I've been living in the US (Detroit) last year. Then I lived in Berlin for 2 months, which was so not enough... I plan on moving there for good as soon as possible -which means, when I'm done with my studies, unless I'm accepted for a thesis master over there.
Two thing you need to know about me:
- I'm a complete animals lover, and I consider my dog and my cat family.
- I LOVE travelling, I can't get enough of it. I wish I had enough lives to see everything.
I've never been able to summarize myself though, I must not be coherent enough...
Check below, it should give you some insights about me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just consider it the best way to travel. You get a nice place to crash for free, but most importantly, you get a chance to meet a local person living in the city you're visiting which is a +++ if you want to really know about the place from the inside.
It's also definitely a great way to meet new people, and share different perspectives. I am an extremely curious person, and I love to learn.
Unfortunately, due to my current situation with my housemate, we cannot accept guest. This might change in a couple of months though.
Interests
Well, I think my puppy might be my first interest in life hahaha, but aside of that...
Listing my interests would give something like that : free thinking, psychology, animals, animals welfare, traveling, social sciences, political sciences, anthropology, philosophy, human rights, literature, cinema, independent press, social networks, activism...
I love to have never-ending talks about life, experiences, anything as long as we can all enjoy an inspiring conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a library rat -or I used to be, now I basically spend a lot of my spare time reading online articles. I'm particularly fond of fiction novels with a philosophical dimension, but I also enjoy reading essays. My three favorites... hard to choose but it would be The Fall by Albert Camus, Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, and Darkness at Noon by Arthur Koestler. God & State written by Bakounine also changed my life.
I'm quite interested in cinema as well. I've been running the cinema club of my university for a year. The aesthetism is a big deal for me in cinema, but cannot be enough by itself; it needs to illustrate something deeper. If I have to choose between all the movies I adore, my heart will go to Revolutionnary Road by Sam Mendes, The Tree of Life by Terrence Malik, American History X by Tony Kaye, and Laurence Anyways by Xavier Dolan.
I like music, a lot, but I know I'm not as fond of it as most people can be. I'm more into visual arts. I've got contrasted tastes in music. I'm in love with Cocorosie, Bon Iver, Nina Simone... but I think I mostly enjoy hip-hop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Three years ago, I spent a week on Sziget's island in Hungary during the summer. It was entirely dedicated to an amazing music festival called... Sziget. It was like living on another dimension (a much better one) for a few days, out of time, out of space. Probably the best week of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to hate cooking, I would always buy pre-made frozen food or such... But about 2 years ago I developed an intolerance to gluten, and a little after I decided to go vegan. So as you can guess, I HAD to learn how to cook, and I'm so glad I did, I love cooking so much now!
I'd be glad to cook for you... just mind you, I'm quite adventurous sometimes!
