Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to meet people, learn things and be places that inspire
ABOUT ME
well, hmmm. about me. since i have to describe myself which is quite fair enough because if you are reading this you either want to stay on my couch or I have asked to stay on yours, i would say that i love to learn, love to talk, love to connect with real people, love to read good books and watch good films. At the moment I'm in europe on an exchange program and have just completed a semester in 'human rights' (which is basically politics), in Sweden which I really really loved. And now I am seeing as much of europe as possible before i have to go back to Australia, which is an amazing place but way too far away from so much of the world!
PHILOSOPHY
being kind to others, and having the freedom to be yourself. Always be learning and trying and doing new things. Never take myself too seriously; having fun and enjoying life is why we're all here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have just joined couch surfers and am travelling very far away from my home so as yet I haven't had a couch to offer, nor have I stayed on any others yet, but am looking forward to participate in both!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only just joined the couch surfing project after hearing great stories from friends of mine who currently participate. When I heard about the project I knew it would be something I would definately be interested in, because when I travel, I have the best and rewarding experiences when I stay with locals and am able to experience a place from their point of view. Also, my home town, Melbourne, specifically, north fitzroy, I think is one of the best cities in the world if one can experience it from an insider's perspective. Thus, it would be great if I had the opportunity to show others all the great things melbourne has to offer.
Interests
All things that promote creativity. I am a strong believer in self expression and unlocking all those amazing, weird and wonderful things that exists in all of us. Whether this be writing a story or making an angel for the christmas tree out of tin foil and some branches. Everything is great and valuable if it involves doing things that come from within and don't automatically conform to the status quo.
