About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore

ABOUT ME

I am often give the nickname 'pocket rocket' by friends (especially those I play sport with). I think my friends would consider me to be adventurous and enthusiastic, up for anything (almost) and easygoing.

PHILOSOPHY

Expect Nothing, Don't Judge and be open to the beauty in all things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had many people come through my house whilst i was living in Broome, Western Australia. Not through the couch surfing website, but through friends, family and housemates. we operated a very open household and were happy to take in people needing a place to stay. I loved meeting and getting to know many different people from different walks of life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now surfed a few times and have loved experiencing towns through the eyes of someone living there! Everyone I've stayed with have been so lovely and generous and I hope to return the favour when i have the opportunity

Interests

I love to explore the ocean through surfing, snorkeling, diving or just swimming if I could be a mythical creature, a mermaid would be my first choice.

I enjoy Yoga, and dance and also love to play sports and attempt to snowboard (but I need practice). I love to live an active lifestyle and enjoy walking whether it is through the bush or exploring a city.

I sing and have been trying to learn guitar for many years, however had not had the motivation to become any good. I'm always up for a bit of a jam!

I love to twirl fire and give hoola hooping a go! I know a few tricks already but have so much more I would love to learn!

Good Food! I'm obsessed..preparing, eating, smelling!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - into the wild, pan's labyrinth, musicals, too many to list.
Music - Jazz, Blues, Acoustic, electro swing, salsa
Books - The Little Prince! other than that I have not been a big reader int he past, however feel on this trip that may change.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spent much time travelling through South America and Australia. One of the most unforgettable experiences would have to be when i was in Chile, i had the opportunity to climb/walk up a snow covered volcano right to the mouth where on a good day you are able to see the lava down below (unfortunately I could not). The view was breathtaking and the town was gorgeous. the fun part however was the way back down, where we put on some heavy duty pants and slid down this volcano with only a pick to stop us.

Teach, Learn, Share

I consider myself a jack of many trades and master of none, but am happy to pass on any small knowledge I have, and am so excited for what i may learn along way!

Would love to learn new languages and new recipes!
