ABOUT ME

I am a simple person...I laugh a lot, I work hard and I care about people. I want to live in the country and grow my own vegetables. I want to work at the diner down the street and have the neighbors over for drinks and dinner. But for now I work full-time + as a Graphic Designer for a company in mid-town Manhattan which is far from the country life I see myself living in 20 years, but I'm enjoying every minute of this time too!

PHILOSOPHY

Life can get too comfortable, so comfortable it becomes boring. Sometimes you have to do things that seem so unlike yourself and out of your reach to wake up your senses.

Meeting people, listening to their stories and learn about others lives. Eating and having a few beers. Going to see bands. Wandering through new places.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: anything scary, even cheesy scary like Friday the 13th. I'm good at freaking myself out and after a good scary movie it's crazy how your mind makes things up. I have seen The Shining about a 100 times and I still can't fall asleep right away after seeing it. I Love It!

Music: I love all types of music from classic rock, indie, punk, folk, and of course the pop music can get my ass shaking. I'm not really good at naming artists, but I have acquired a ton of music from my boyfriend. I'm sure he can turn you on to a bunch too.

Books: I guess some recent favorites were The Life of Pi, Short stories by Susan Orleans, Any Bill Bryson and bunches of magazines...New York, The New York Times Mag, Print and gossip mags...I admit it :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled around the United States for 6 and a half months with my boyfriend of only 3 months and learning so much about him that I know we will always be together...and now we're married.

Teach, Learn, Share

In my lifetime i hope to learn at least one song on every instrument so that when I meet someone I can say, "Oh, you play the bagpipes? I can play the full house theme song." Right now if you have a piano laying around I can teach you the entertainer. Or if you have a recorder in the attic I can teach you mary had a little lamb.
