About Me

I'm travelling now, sorry can't host because I'm homeless...

love visiting foreign countries and spending time with local communities, but also reading books, watching movies, or simply listening to music. All travels of different shapes.
Most of the time, I spend my days (very) active and my evenings (very) lazy. I believe in science and balance in life. I believe that good food is a cure for a bad day, and that smile is the best makeup. I travel through life - treating every day like a part of a bigger journey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's just great how in all our differences we're all so similar. I enjoy long, vivid conversations and quiet evenings with a glass of wine and sightseeing with the locals (best way of visiting a city or a region). For all this, I'm here. Simply to meet you :)

Interests

Oh boy! Can we discuss it over a wine, coffee, cake, or better...all of them (I don't care about the order)? We'll have common interests, that's for sure. I'm a chemical engineer which of course shaped me a lot, but I love to sketch in my free time, devour art, good books, and movies. In pursuit of the meaning, I read all the holy books I was able to find, spent too much time in ashrams and meditating (vipassana in October '24 awaits) but I'm not really a sit-still type...
I'm a sailor, a diver and a swimmer (mostly in summer, wherever it is). A climber, and hiker during winter (wherever I am). When more sedentary, I'm cycling everywhere coz I'm too lazy to get my car driving license... I know, what a shame....but hey, at least I'm good with motorbikes!

Music, Movies, and Books

New things! I'm open to discussion, and those below are just most recent examples:

MUSIC: Alt-J, Aurora, The Lumineers, Glass Animals, Roro Panes, Rhye, Sixto Rodriguez, Chet Faker
MOVIES: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, The Edge of Tomorrow, The Martian, Arrival, Intouchables, The Hateful Eight, Fading Gigolo, STAR WARS (!!!)
BOOKS: Shantaram, The Pilgrim, The Little Prince, Hopscotch, The Odyssey, Crime and Punishment (read it!), Alice's Adventures

I started with putting exclamation mark with -in my opinion- best ones, but it's pointless...all of them had one in the end. Even though this list is very chaotic all the positions are just GREAT in their genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from Poland to Portugal in 3 days.
Crossed Africa (bottom to the top) hitchhiking and with public transport. I did some volunteering on my way back to Europe.
I began my journey with Himalayas on a solo 240km trek around Annapurna peaks.
I sunk a new Himalayan 450 in a glacier on my way to Ledak (India).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a decent cook and I can bake delicious brownie so if you brave enough to try, I will occupy your kitchen (for hours) with pleasure!
And let's talk, I would love to hear your stories.
