About Me
Hi everybody!
I'm a 26-year-old Italian girl, I love travelling and meeting new people and cultures. In January 2016 I left Italy with a one-way ticket for Nepal, just knowing what I'd been doing in the first three weeks there: teaching English to deaf students. It was an amazing experience, since I've always been interested in sign language and i've studied it since 2007. When I was in that small village, seven hours far from Kathmandu, being the only Western person, I realized I want to become interpreter of sign language. So, after 4 months of travelling through Nepal and China, I came back to Italy for some months, I worked for a wine producer and now I'm currently in Brussels, Belgium. The plan is to stay here for some months... let's see what happens! ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I definitely love to meet locals when I travel, I love to share some time with them, eating, drinking, discovering the place I'm visiting, and at the sime time, I love to give suggestions about my place, even if I can't host people at the moment.
Interests
I like travelling (of course, who doesn't, here on CS? ;) ), cooking, meeting new people, chatting, going around, listening to the stories people want to share with me about their experiences. I enjoy simple things, a guitar and some friends can make me happy: ending a dinner by playing and singing all together is great! (Btw, I cannot play guitar, but I'd like to learn at least how to strum it!)

Music, Movies, and Books
The last book I read is "L'orizzonte ogni giorno un po' più in là" by Claudio Pelizzeni. It's the story of his 1000-day travel around the world with no flights. I was glad to meet him during the launch of the book, he's a very inspiring and interesting guy, and when I read his story I totally feel the emotions he felt during his trip.
Even if I usually fall asleep when watching movies, I love "Amèlie" (especially the soundtrack by Yann Tiersen).
I love Into the wild as well, the last time I watched it I was in Nepal in a open-air cinema on a hill on the lake of the town... good vibes and atmosphere!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked on the Great Wall in China... it was breathtaking!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help you to learn Italian and something about Italy. We can do it by preparing some typical Italian dishes while drinking a glass of good wine!
I'm very interested in foreign languages, both the languages I've been studying and the languages I've never met before!
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Nepal, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom
