ABOUT ME

Crazy in the mind, serious from the outside, traveling lover ...

I am a country girl that most appreciates living in big cities. I loved living in Paris but I appreciate going back to the country some weekends. I love traveling, but what I appreciate the most while going around the earth is experiencing, discovering and living. Thus, I would rather stay months in a place than jumping from place to place without experiencing everything but the road. Although I love the road, trains and planes since I am a little girl.

I am easy going although as I said, it is not obvious from the outside and it is the reason why I like having conversations with people to get to know them better and to allow them know me better.
I look to meet new people and I love sharing about views, opinions and experiences about history, philosphy or politics. I found very interesting people with different backgrounds because it is so enriching for one another to share about it. As you can see, sharing is one of my favorite words. I love to go out in bars and pubs, and I appreciate going to the club to dance from time to time.

I enjoy art exhibition and living art (such as theatre and contemporary dance) and it is the reason why I appreciate better living in cities like Paris than in the country.
I like outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, skiing, snowboarding...
There are a lot of activities that I want to try (but never did) such as surfing (if you can teach me =) ), diving, bungee jumping or rockclimbing.

I am a hard working student in human rights and humanitarian action, I am highly interested in women's issues such as reproductive rights, gender equality, the feminization of HIV/AIDS and women empowerment. I have a particular attraction to Asia, as my journey to the Philippines and Vietnam has enhanced my passion for the region.

I have varied tastes in music, books and movies. My playlist, movie list and book list of this month:

Movies: After watching a lot of Woody Allen's movies I am getting sick of them although it is an artist that I appreciated very much. Lately, I enjoyed the movies of Nicolas Windind Refn and Quentin Tarantino (this is not new). I also tend to appreciate Michel Gondry and Cedric Klapisch.

Music: Rodriguez (and the documentary Sugar Man, the most amazing movie of the year!), Bob Dylan and all the classical artists such as the beatles, Queen, Joan Baez, David Bowie and so on. Lately, I appreciated the music of The Cat empire, Alt-J, Groundation, Kavinsky, Paul K.

Books: I am into Jonathan Franzen at the moment: Freedom was amazing of truth and reality, I just started The Corrections.

You dream about learning rock dancing? I can teach you the basic steps in one hour.
I also can teach you how to break the wheels of your car in several ways (talking from experience). I have tips to avoid big hangovers (without avoiding alcohol).
That's crazy how many very useful things I can teach you, isn't it?

I am a learning lover: teach me anything: how to surf, how to speak a new language, how to cook the special dish from your grand ma' recipe, how to be good at capoeira, how to beat anyone to poker... Anything!
