About Me

ABOUT ME

I love everything about nature, put me outside and I'm happy!

PHILOSOPHY

"From there to here and here to there, funny things are everywhere." ~Dr. Seuss

"In the end we conserve what we love, we love what we understand, and we understand what we are taught." ~Baba Dioum

GO OUTSIDE! Feel the sun on your body and the grass and dirt between your toes!!!

Interests

NATURE! Trees, ocean, grass, finding interesting rocks, dirt, wind, sunshine, and so on!

Hiking, kayaking, swimming, biking, sitting in the breeze, listening to the wind pass through tall grass and leaves, caving, biking, camping, walking barefoot, watching a good movie under a blanket, the list could go on...

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very broad spectrum of music interest. This can range anywhere from indie rock, some classic country, gypsy violin, classical, etc. Bands I currently listen to quite a bit are: Fleet Foxes, Horse Feathers, David Dondero, Darren Hanlon, Jenny Lewis, The Avett Brothers, Eric Bachmann, Azure Ray, The Beatles, Iron & Wine, The Shins, The Dodos, Spoon, The Felice Brothers, Flight of the Conchords, Tilly and the Wall, A Weather, The Weepies, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, She & Him, St. Vincent, Langhorne Slim, M. Ward, ABBA, Journey... yes.. I admit it...

There are quite a few inspiring, wonderful books out there! At the moment, though, a couple of classic short reads that popped in my head are The Alchemist & Life of Pi. I also recently read Oryx and Crake, and really enjoyed it.. oh, and let's not forget good ones like Jurassic Park and The Lost World!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A lot of amazing things and beauty can be seen if you go outside.. sometimes you'll see it right away.. other times you'll see it if you wait long enough.
