About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Saving money, running around like a crazy person.
ABOUT ME
I enjoy doing wacky stuff in NYC and experiencing life intensely... and then taking a break to chill out on my couch. I work in finance/legal/tax, with a background in computer science (read: nerdery), Russian language, and lawyerdom.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed with a wonderful couple in Kiev, and a gentleman and another couple in Washington State. I took a whirlwind tour of the US via couchsurfing, crashed in the Philadelphia area, and met a couple of lovely people in Italy on a Lebanon-Italy-Nice tour.
I've hosted people from as close as DC and as far as Australia... what a wonderful opportunity to meet lots of friendly, open and interested people! Plus the side that wants to provide for others gets instant satisfaction -- I get to give someone a place to stay, some information, maybe a mini-tour of the town and an insider's view... just like I've been given elsewhere :).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rode a Russian yak plane for my 25th birthday outside of St. Petersburg. It's the only time I've looked upward, and felt like I'm looking downward, and above me was the earth, and I was only held away from it by backpack-style straps and a flimsy layer of plastic.
Flying has never been the same ever since... I often stare out the window at take-off and landings, imagining being back in that two-seater yak...amazing...
