About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Carpe Diem.

ABOUT ME

'My dream is to walk around the world. A smallish backpack, all essentials neatly in place. A camera. A notebook. A travelling paint set. A hat. Good shoes. A nice pleated (green?) skirt for the occasional seaside hotel afternoon dance.'

PHILOSOPHY

My attitude to life can be summarized with this quote:
"I am in love with places I have never been to and people I have never met."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, surfing, sharing, talking, laughing and always remembering.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Quite a few experiences now! Met some amazing people that I'm still keeping in touch with. Isn't that great?

I couchsurfed in Germany (Berlin), Ireland (Dublin), Portugal (Porto), France (Paris), Indonesia (Bali), Malta, Spain (Madrid), Peru (Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Cusco), Bolivia (La Paz & Sucre), Chile (San Pedro de Atacama, Valparaiso, Santiago), Austria (Vienna), Slovakia (Bratislava), Switzerland (Zürich), Czech Republic (Praha), Thailand (Bangkok & Aoluk), Malaysia (KL) & Vietnam (Da Nang).
I hosted people when I was living in Cardiff, the UK and I am also looking forward to doing that again when I get a chance.
Also, I met up with many couchsurfers in different parts of the world.

Interests

I am interested in everything what life has to offer! I particularly like being spontaneous and not having plans. I enjoy extraordinary conversations with ordinary people, comfortable moments of silence, long walks, sunny beaches, breathtaking landscapes, rooftops and counting stars. I love dancing and I have been always facinated by photography and I try my best with that whenever I travel. I enjoy everything that makes me live in the present moment. I always tend to go with the flow and see what happens. I believe that a small hidden town in the middle of the jungle can be as (or even more) interesting as vising well-known and famous places. And last but not least - I am always really interested in meeting and getting to know the locals.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most kinds of music. However, my preference would be jazz, classical music or RnB to listen, but Pop, Jazz or Latin American to dance. I wouldn't choose to listen to hard rock or heavy metal. I think I like any kind of movies starting with documentaries and finishing with dramas or comedies. Can't even pick one. The last one that I saw was V for Vendetta, although I saw it for the second time. The book that affected my attitude to the word the most was probably Joseph Murphy's "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind". I really like reading psychological books, but I enjoy reading novels as well. The books that are stuck in my mind are The Hunchback of Notre-Dame by Victor Hugo, Master and Margarita by Bulgakov, One Flew Over the Coockoo's Nest by Ken Kesey, the Stranger by Albert Camus and Metamorphosis by F. Kafka

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life. Whenever something unexpectedly great happens I am really astonished how wonderful life can be :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Lithuanian:)! Also, as I did modern dancing for 6 years, a bit of Ballroom & Latin and now I'm doing salsa, bachata and zouk lambada and just discovered kizomba, I could teach you how to dance & have fun! I did figure skating for 3 years, so if you want to learn how to skate, ask me! I'd love to learn French, Spanish, Russian properly or just a few phrases in any other language, so if you could teach me anything language-related that would be more than great!
