About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To feel everything.
ABOUT ME
I'm pretty damn awesome. And modest too of course.
I love to learn and to understand things, I find literally everything interesting.
I'm in the middle of a gap year and hoping to study veterinary medicine afterwards.
I'm from Scotland and yes, I do have my own kilt. No, I do not wear it as a true Scot would.
PHILOSOPHY
To do what makes the most people the happiest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've never been couchsurfing before so I guess I'll see how it goes!
Interests
I really love getting into heated debates with people, especially about politics and stuff, though I warn you, half the time I don't know what I'm on about.
- poetry
- politics
- knitting
- chemistry
- medicine
- science
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not a big movie watcher but I do love a good bit of Harry Potter. The Matrix is awesome too.
I watch quite a bit more TV and I'm in the middle of a serious Doctor Who craze right now and I'd love to meet another whovian, though don't judge me for not having watched the classics - they're so difficult to get a hold of! I also love Friends (and could probably quote like half of it), How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs, a little bit of Big Bang Theory but I don't like it that much, My Name is Earl, Heroes, QI, Mock the Week, Smallville, Being Human and probably a hell of a lot more!
I love reading though my literature knowledge is pretty patchy. I really love Kurt Vonnegut, and a lot of the classic Sci-fi stuff I've read. Harry Potter is amazing, I really enjoyed the series with Eragon (whatever it's called), have enjoyed a few Chekhov plays, and quite like Plato's Republic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed up the Eiffel Tower and saw the sun setting over Paris just as I got to the top. As I went back down the lights came on and the whole thing just lit up. It was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to knit, which I have recently learned myself (though my scarf is double the width of my neck and I can barely get my thumb into my one mitten), I know a little bit of French, some horse behaviour, I suppose more than the average person about science, chemistry especially. I know how to write quite well but nothing special. I can also teach you 10 or so poems by Seamus Heaney. I also know how to milk cows.
