About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To help to make the world a better place, starting small can lead to bigger changes but you have to start somewhere.
ABOUT ME
Fun, charming, intelligent, beautiful...and modest. No really, please don't get the wrong impression, I like to make jokes. My friends would describe me as smiley, sociable, sometimes pretty crazy, always very slow and very content with life, although I should have been born in the 60s with flowers in my hair.
Vegan and lover of nature and all things living, with an unnatural fear of creatures with wings... Yoga keeps me sane in a very stressful job working with homeless young people.
PHILOSOPHY
Take each day as it comes, preferably with a smile on your face.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately due to changing circumstances I have only hosted once - but it was the best experience! I have been lucky enough to be hosted by several wonderful surfers and wouldn't think of travelling any other way now

Interests
Yoga 🧘♀️ more a way of life for me than an interest. But really interested in Aryuveda and hope to take a course on it soon.
I’m interested in anything that brings vitality and meaning to my life, whether big or small.
Anything from chilling with a book on a beach to ziplining through the jungle, hanging out with my friends, going out with my friends, sampling food from all over the world, skiing, scuba diving, hiking, swimming, and non-stop music to give the day some colour.
Also must include writing (I have distant dreams of publishing a novel!), singing, cooking, coffee, tea comme une vrai anglaise, good red wine, and travelling.
Have been doing aerial circus for a few months now and am longing to run away with circus.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything and everything...not quite everything. I detest metal, hard rock and sci fi, everything else I Love. Favourite books at the moment are The God of Small Things, Midnights Children. I will grow old with Pride and Prejudice and dream of being Elizabeth Bennet. I have watched The Princess Bride numerous times but don’t own a tv and try to steer clear of the screens.
Reggae is my passion. If i could bring 3 musicians back from the dead to be front row in their concerts it would be bob marley, jimmi hendrix and pink floyd.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many things to choose. Watching giant leatherback turtles laying their eggs in Trinidad was pretty special. Scuba diving by night with sleeping sea turtles and octopus. Or skiing off the edge of a mountain with a parachute attached to my back. Or playing monopoly with a bottle of wine and my friends. The sunset in Guadeloupe.
Most recently my Yoga Teacher Training in India. Changed my perspective on my life in a profound way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I play cello and saxophone and like to write music, i speak french, i make a tasty dahl and am slowly learning the skill of vegan baking. I've just learnt to ride a bike and am happy to pass on my talent.
Also I love to share my new found skill of giving Indian Head Massage and Yoga
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m a qualified yoga teacher and also practice Indian Head Massage so I’m super happy to offer some deep relaxation and zen 🙏
Also since working on my vegan baking skills have discovered I’m not bad at making chocolate truffles...
