Hello! My name is Laura. I'm German but have spend five years of my life in the States. One year in Saline, Michigan (2006-2007) and my entire undergrad in Gunnison, Colorado (2010-2014). I studied Psychology and moved back to Germany after graduating. I have worked as a social worker with refugees since. It's been crazy but at the same time unbelievable and fun!

Other than that... I like to take life as it comes. I do tend to have a plan of where I want it to go, but then new ideas pop in my head and everything changes. Makes it easier not to be all set, I'd say.
I'm an optimist and like to laugh at things... once again it makes life easier and definitely way more fun!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went on a three week trip through the US with a friend of mine. We couchsurfed the entire time and it was a wonderful experience. We met so many interesting, generous, nice and wonderful people and had only positive experiences. I'm a big fan!

兴趣

Aside form travelling my other greatest passion is music. I play the alto and tenor saxophone and not a day goes by where I don't listen to music, make music myself, whistle or have a song stuck in my head. It is something that helps me recharge and has given me so much happiness in my life.

I can't picture my life without music. Whenever I need to get back in a good mood, just give me a few minutes to listen to music and I'll be good to go. I love Jazz, especially playing it myself but really most types of music create some sort of good feeling in me.

I studied on a ship for 4 months... travelling the world and going to school all at once. Go Semester at Sea!!!
