About Me

If anything, I'm... let's say productive. I can't stay still, I always need to have a project I'm working on. Whether it's writing a larp, a big school project, organizing some program for an anime convention, a thick book to finish or something else, I always have something on my to-do list. I study Computer Science which keeps me busy during weekdays and on the weekends I usually leave for some of my hobbies or maybe my home city to visit my family and friends. I live next to my university with my boyfriend and a huge Pokémon collection.

Currently in Tokyo on an exchange, and therefore not accepting guests, sorry!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I went on an Interrail adventure in July 2014 and was hosted there for the first time, after which I also wanted to open my own couch for travelers. I'm often not at home, but asking never hurts :)

Surfed:
Maria and Chris from Austria, July 2014

Hosted:
Ania, Ela and Ola from Poland, September 2014

Interests

I do live action roleplaying, watch anime/visit anime conventions/cosplay, play Pokémon Trading Card Game (I'm both a league leader and tournament organizer)... I also enjoy reading fantasy books though nowadays I do that way too seldom. I play clarinet/piano/ocarina though I'm getting rusty because of my lack of time to practise.

My major at school is Media Technology so my main interest there is web programming. I like computers/machines in general and I'm happy about the 3D printers and the laser cutter we have at home (my boyfriend also studies Computer Science and likes building things). I also care a lot about environmental issues, which causes me to avoid driving a car and concentrate on vegetarian food. In future I'd like my occupation to be something that would combine technology and making the world a better place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't pick just one! Spending a summer in Minnesota on in a "language village" teaching Finnish to American kids. Interrailing in Middle Europe with my best friend. Producing a full fan-made Pokémon musical.

Teach, Learn, Share

Finnish is a funny language to learn, I'll be happy to teach you a few words. Also, anyone interested in learning Pokémon TCG? :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

Always happy to bring Finnish sweets. Have you tried salmiakki yet?
