About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To inspire, and be inspired
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Ocean Beach, San Diego--a time warped town still lost in the hippy age of 1969. I later moved to a small town in North Carolina, hidden in the Southern Appalachian mountains. I realized then that people everywhere are unique, beautiful, and wonderful. I love to meet new people, learn new things, and explore!
I just graduated with a degree in Socio-Cultural Anthropology from UC Davis (near San Francisco). I am excited to travel again after my school hiatus!
PHILOSOPHY
I love people, and believe everyone has the potential to be great. With education and tolerance, the world's problems can be solved and together we can make a world of peace.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard about this amazing Couch Surfing phenomenon while traveling around Europe. I joined in anticipation of meeting people while in Greece-- and now I treasure this inspiring link between travelers and look forward to going "home" so I can reciprocate.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met extremely interesting people--a lifestyle more congruent with my own. Common interests, intellect, experience, aspirations and passions all inspire me to believe that there really are genuine people in this crazy world.
Interests
To live life through all of its manifestations! I love to experience--whether it be people, places, food, music, art, language, or thought.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all types of music...and I love to read. Poulenc, Bach, Beethoven, Dvorjak, Bartok, Mozart, Saint-Saens...The Beatles...Boxes, Passion Pit, MGMT, Lady Gaga...Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Thelonius Monk...Somerset Maugham, Hemingway, Edgar Allen Poe, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Bill Bryson...so many!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I met two students from Dresden, Germany in Patra, Greece--went to Olympia together and preformed our own Olympic Games. Complete with getting reprimanded by the guard's unruly whistling, racing across the former stadium, making flower crowns or "classic olive-branch victory wreaths"...and doing all of this on the Greek National Strike Day complete with all museums closed, ferries and city buses out of service....
