About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To continue adventuring til late 90's at least!

ABOUT ME

Traveling is what I love the most in this world. I'm a sufferer of perpetual traveler's itch, as I'm sure most of you are! A couple labels I subscribe to are adventure seeker, loungewear aficionado, coffee guzzler, and conversation enthusiast. I could go on, but then I'd feel like I'm filling out an online dating profile. Let's be friends!

PHILOSOPHY

To experience as much in this life as possible. I also believe everything happens when it's meant to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, I am participating as a surfer and unofficial Couchsurfing marketer, and host whenever I'm able. I haven't set down roots in a while which makes it tough to give back to this incredible community as much as I want to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Backpacking through Europe in 2014 is when I had my first encounter with Couchsurfing by being hosted by some incredible people in 9 different countries, and I have since backpacked through Canada and the states. I get so much joy from meeting local people and learning about their lives and cultures and am in touch with many of my hosts to this day. I fully subscribe to the idea of sharing your lives with locals around the world and learning from one another - this is truly the way to travel and get to know a spot even deeper!

Interests

I enjoy going out and having a good time with friends as well as quiet nights in. Three major loves of my life are hiking, grooving to music, and sharing stories and experiences with folks over coffee or a beer. I write and perform spoken word and love it, and am always wanting to hear people's writings. If you have a bad joke, there's a 100% chance I will laugh too hard at it.

I enjoy scuba diving whenever I get the chance, giving and receiving reiki, full body laughs, finding the magic in moments of stillness, meeting new people, being goofy and weird, not taking life too seriously, hearing other people's travel and life stories, eating chips and salsa, and singing along to songs (though not very well). Not to mention traveling the world any chance I get... but I assume you assumed that. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorites include: Grouplove, Still Woozy, Lord Huron, Glass Animals, BØRNS, Mt. Joy, Joywave, Prince, George Ezra, Cold War Kids, Snow Patrol, Stromae, Papooz, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, Sea Wolf, 90's hip hop... the list goes on.

I enjoy most movies, and find myself in a continuous state of trying to find people who will watch horror movies with me. The greatest series of all time is the Lord of the Rings, and I'm a big Tolkien nerd.

Favorite TV shows include Game of Thrones and honestly so many to even wriiiiiite here.

I love love love books. Reading has been a love of mine since I could remember. I grew up reading the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings series. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is probably my favorite book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding to the top of Mt. Sinai on the back of a camel and seeing the stars, living on a tropical agriculture institute in Costa Rica, staring at the temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, following an unmarked trail to summit Mt. Rumija in Montenegro, jumping off the top of a double-decker boat into the South China Sea, picnicking along the Seine, being in Europe for the World Cup, dancing my way to Dance Champion of the Crown Empress on the Nile. Playing Prince's guitar front row in concert. Meeting Beyoncé. Let's swap stories!

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is all about getting as much as you can out of it. I love to learn anything new - be it a phrase in another language, how to do a back flip, how to cook something new, or to experience a part of town you enjoy - anything, really.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you a couple tongue twisters, a cool magic trick that will blow your mind, spoken word I've written, some of my favorite bad jokes, how to say some English American slang, how to fish tail and french braid hair, how to do high jump, long jump, javelin, or other track events (hah.. or maybe just talk you through it), and share some good conversation on the many life experiences I have had so far :)
